Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Seattle is seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to join its Operations team. You will lead design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensure quality control, and optimize supply chain logistics for production and operations.

The role focuses on internally fabricated heat exchangers, compressors, and cryo coolers, with responsibilities spanning DFMA/DFT, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to drive cost reductions and schedule improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university.
• 3+ years in manufacturing/industrial/process engineering.
• Experience creating English work instructions.
• U.S. citizenship or eligible status, able to work in Seattle.
• Willing to work second shift and extended hours.

Responsibilities

• Support industrialization of new products (solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, structures).
• Develop manufacturability, DFA, DFT methods.
• Translate engineering requirements to robust manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design, quality, supply chain, production teams.
• Develop and maintain manufacturing docs and instructions.
• Identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction.
