Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineer to lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems within the Operations team on the Space Coast, FL. You will drive quality and reduce costs through DFx, develop robust processes, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable space vehicles.

The role covers industrialization of new products, tooling, and process documentation, with relocation available and potential travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university
• 3+ years in a manufacturing, industrial, or process engineering role
• 3+ years creating English work instructions
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States
• Ability to work second shift and flexible to move shifts as needed

Responsibilities

• Support the industrialization of new products (solar arrays, integration and test, avionics, structures).
• Contribute to DFM, DFA, DFT to build reliable space vehicles.
• Translate engineering requirements into repeatable manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with design, QA, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate production.
• Develop manufacturing documentation like work instructions and process flows.
• Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies (composites, machining, additive manufacturing).
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO 9001 quality standards.
