Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Associate - Material Movement II at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station to manage material flow and inventory for New Glenn launch vehicle integration and testing. You will receive, inspect, kit, and stage parts, and maintain real-time inventory through ERP systems while collaborating with engineers and technicians to ensure on-time readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5–7+ years in aerospace/manufacturing.
• English reading/writing required.
• Self-starter with minimal guidance.
• Strong math, analytical, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 apps.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work in varied conditions.
• Familiar with Costpoint or SAP ERP.
• Must be able to work C Shift (Fri–Sun, 6am–6pm).

Responsibilities

• Serve the customer to ensure work is not delayed due to parts.
• Forecast part requirements and transfer inventory to the launch pad.
• Maintain inventory per company policies including labeling, storage, handling, and packaging.
• Perform cycle and annual inventory counts; research discrepancies.
• Kit parts to work orders; physically pull, package, label, and transact parts from inventory.
• Research shorts and mis-picks daily to verify proper inventory.
• Inspect and receive parts returning to stock from work orders.
• Work with Quality and Purchasing to resolve procurement/quality issues.
• Coordinate returns with the purchase team (warranty, RMA).
• Operate equipment (electric pallet jacks, forklifts, tools, computers).
• Deliver kits and parts to staging/work cell areas; maintain safe areas.
• Inspect and verify incoming shipments; assist shipping/receiving large items.
• Assist planning/purchasing to meet daily job requirements; flag shortages.
