Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Aguadilla, PR, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with analog and digital design experience. The role includes PCB design, system integration, requirements capture, and manufacturing transition for MIL-standard products.

The position supports a hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) with collaboration across mechanical, software, and test teams. U.S. citizenship and a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written)
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

Responsibilities

• Research, develop, design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate an electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices, ensuing work is completed on time and established quality and budgets are achieved
• Prepare engineering sketches or specifications to construct, relocate, or install equipment, products, or systems
• Prepare documentation including descriptions or specifications of proprietary hardware or software, information on product development, schedules, product costs, and performance weaknesses to track progress and analyze performance
• Perform engineering work and applied research, development, and design of new products to ensure quality standards and business objectives are met
• Produce products according to specifications, using the most cost-effective and efficient means
• Requirements capture management and verification for small to medium electronic packaging circuit cards
• Prepare and present project technical information to peers and internal/external customers
• Analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components (PM&P) including power generation, transmission and distribution, rotating machinery, illumination, wire communication systems, servomechanisms, circuit theory, computer design and development, instrumentation, radio communications, semiconductor devices, solid state devices, and television systems
• Facilitate project tasks between cross-functional integrated product teams to ensure alignment with overall project objectives and team collaboration
