Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, is hiring an Electrical Engineer II for a hybrid role with 3 days on-site and 2 remote days per schedule. The engineer will contribute to PCB design, hardware integration, testing, and cross-functional collaboration to meet system requirements.

The role requires a STEM degree with 2 years of relevant experience, strong English communication, U.S. citizenship, and ability to obtain a security clearance. Relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 2 years of relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
• Demonstrated professional experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform PCB design tasks including requirements review, schematic development, documentation, basic signal integrity considerations, board stack‑up definition, and coordination with layout engineers.
• Support creation of hardware test plans and assist with hardware integration and troubleshooting activities.
• Design, verify, test, and support analog/digital electronic hardware with moderate guidance from senior engineers.
• Collaborate with power, digital, mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams to help deliver hardware that meets system requirements.
• Follow AS9100 quality processes and contribute to continuous improvement of hardware development practices.
• Communicate technical information clearly in both verbal and written formats.
• Maintain organization, demonstrate initiative, and manage multiple priorities to support project deadlines.
