Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, is seeking a Flammability Engineer II for an onsite role in Winston-Salem, NC. You will support compliance of interior components to federal and industry standards and drive certification documentation for commercial aircraft modifications.

The role requires a STEM degree with at least 2 years of experience or an advanced degree, aerospace experience, and strong teamwork abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Prior aerospace industry experience, preferably with aircraft interiors.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Tackle standard engineering assignments with strategic expertise to drive solutions and design decisions.
  • Support internal technical and design reviews, representing the Flammability Certification team.
  • Compile FAA certification documentation for submission to OEMs and regulators.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
