Sierra Nevada Corporation seeks an Engineering Manager II to lead a multi-disciplinary engineering team and drive successful project outcomes. You will build high-performing teams, develop schedules, monitor costs, and advance technical solutions while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing and quality, mentoring staff, and presenting updates to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 4+ years in management.
• Thorough understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulation.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary engineering team to achieve project milestones.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of engineering products.
• Monitor and control project costs to stay within budget.
• Drive the development and implementation of technical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable standards and regulations.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff, promoting continuous improvement and professional growth.
• Present project updates and technical data to senior management and stakeholders.
