Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) is seeking an Engineering Manager II to lead a multi-disciplinary team and deliver complex engineering programs in a hybrid office setting in Plano, Texas. You will guide schedules, budgets, risk management, and technical direction while ensuring compliance with industry standards and DoD requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science degree in a related discipline.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience, including 4+ years in management.
• Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools, analysis and simulation.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
• Experience with recruiting and staff development (preferred).
• Understanding of schedules, budgets, and program management (preferred).
• Background in Aerospace/Defense industry or DoD exposure (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary engineering team to achieve project milestones.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of engineering products.
• Monitor and control project costs to stay within budget.
• Drive the development and implementation of technical solutions to complex engineering challenges.
• Ensure all engineering activities comply with applicable standards and regulations.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Mentor and develop engineering staff, promoting continuous improvement.
• Present project updates and technical data to senior management and stakeholders.
