Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Bridgeport, WV is seeking an assembler for the PW800 line on 2nd shift (Mon-Thu 3:30pm-1:30am). You will perform sub-assembly, balancing, main assembly and packing of engines in the repair/overhaul area, using manuals and service bulletins to meet standards.

This FAA-regulated facility requires safety-sensitive work per FAA guidelines and may require drug/alcohol testing. Candidates will be evaluated for ability to work from drawings and complex specifications, with prior PW

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active Powerplant license at time of hire required.
• 3+ years specialized training in aviation maintenance, assembly or test of gas turbine engines; prior PW engine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Sub-assembly, balancing, main assembly and packing of engines in the repair and overhaul area.
• Use hand tools, precision measuring equipment, and gauges to assemble components.
• Coordinate parts, consumables and non-product material movements to support assembly.
• Act as Assembly tech to ensure standard work and meet daily targets.
• Support Continuous Improvement, Quality, EH&S and Operations initiatives; escalate challenges to Supervisor.
