Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a RTX company, seeks a skilled disassembler in Bridgeport, WV, to safely dismantle engine components and assemblies per technical instructions. You will work with hand tools, precision gauges, and follow strict safety, quality, and EH&S guidelines on a 4th shift (Fri-Sun, 5am-5pm), with training on other shifts if needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 2+ years in a mechanical field; an Active Powerplant License and experience with gas turbine engines are

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years of relevant work experience in a mechanical field.
• Active Powerplant License (preferred).
• 2+ years of specialized training in maintenance, assembly or test of gas turbine engines or similar aircraft systems.
• Knowledge of aircraft engine assembly procedures, fits and tolerances, and reading complex drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble engine components, sub-assemblies, and engines using hand tools and gauges.
• Read from manuals, service bulletins and technical instructions.
• Coordinate parts, consumables and non-product material movements.
• Follow ACE, Quality, EH&S initiatives and company policies.
• Perform duties in Department 1800 ensuring standard work and targets are met.
