Job summary

RTX is seeking software engineers for the Battle Management Software Department to support development, test, and other tasks across the software life cycle for aircraft embedded software applications. The aircraft operating system interfaces with displays, navigation, and mission planning, requiring strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn from world-class engineers.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Able to work closely in a multi-discipline team daily.
• Strong Analytical skills.
• Developing software in a Windows environment.
• Developing and testing software using C, C++, C#, Java or closely related languages.
• Developing WPF and UI patterns (MVVM/MVC/MVP).
• Understanding of software systems design, integration, and management.
• Understanding design patterns and their principles.
• Proficiency with debugging tools and troubleshooting software.
• Working knowledge of Software Configuration Management (GIT).
• United States Citizen as this position requires ability to obtain US security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support development, test, and other tasks across the software life cycle for aircraft embedded software applications.
• Use and provide creative solutions to complex software integration problems.
• Collaborate with software and systems engineers to design user-centered solutions.
• Support all aspects of a software development life cycle within a multi-disciplined team for both DoD and commercial programs.
