Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a hardware engineering role focused on aerospace hardware development across the product lifecycle. You will contribute from design and development through production support and service, collaborating with experienced engineers.

You will work with circuit boards featuring complex microprocessors and FPGA architectures, performing schematic capture, part selection, simulation, and troubleshooting to ensure performance and reliability across programs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on troubleshooting in a lab environment with engineering test equipment.
• Experience with schematic capture of digital/analog mixed-signal designs.
• Knowledge of computer hardware architecture and design characteristics.
• Experience may be gained via coursework, projects, or on‑the‑job work.

Responsibilities

• Support products at all phases of the product lifecycle (design to production).
• Support circuit board designs involving complex microprocessor and FPGA architectures including schematic capture, part selection, simulation, and troubleshooting activities.
• Obsolescence resolution activities.
• Implement/support designs balanced for cost, manufacturability and testability.
• Ensure designs comply with DO-160 and DO-254 standards.
