Job summary

RTX in Cedar Rapids, IA is offering an internship/co-op and potential full-time opportunities in aerospace hardware development. You will work on products through design, production transition, and service support, focusing on complex circuit boards with microprocessors and FPGAs.

Expect hands-on lab troubleshooting, schematic capture, and collaboration with experienced engineers. You will learn across the hardware development lifecycle and gain experience with avionics hardware and stringent

Qualifications

Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related STEM field and enrolled through internship/co-op.
Experience in a lab environment performing hands-on troubleshooting with engineering test equipment.
Experience with schematic capture of digital/analog mixed-signal designs.
Experience with computer hardware architecture and design characteristics.

Responsibilities

Support products at all phases of the product lifecycle (design & development, transition to production, factory and service support).
Support circuit board designs involving complex microprocessor and FPGA architectures including schematic capture, part selection, simulation, and troubleshooting.
Obsolescence resolution activities.
Implement/support designs optimized for cost, manufacturability and testability.
Ensure designs comply with DO-160 and DO-254 standards.
