Job summary

Blue Origin in Huntsville seeks a dimensional inspector to program, setup, operate and assist multiple inspection technologies such as Blue Light, Taylor Hobson, and Romer arm. You will perform first article, in-process, final and receiving inspections of aerospace components and provide dimensional data feedback to machinists and engineers.

The role requires 1–5 years experience in aerospace inspection, GD&T per ASME Y14.5, proficient with precision hand tools, and ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• 1 - 5 years of experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
• Blue light experience/ Data Analysis Blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009 standard.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in the use of precision hand tools, gages, optical comparator, and surface plate work.
• Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high value components.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article, in-process, final, and receiving inspections.
• Provide feedback to machinists and engineers with dimensional data.
• Document, track and complete discrepancy reports.
• Maintain and track inspection equipment calibrations.
• Support process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain configuration control on files and job records and safely work within an industrial environment.
