Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced dimensional inspector to support aerospace components across our Space Coast facilities. You will perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using Laser Trackers, CMMs, and optical tools, and generate NCRs with precise dimensional data.

You will read engineering drawings (GD&T per ASME Y14.5) and provide feedback to machinists and engineers to drive quality and safety in spaceflight hardware. Relocation is available and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace or precision manufacturing components.
• GD&T reading per ASME Y14.5M-2009/2018.
• Proficient with precision hand tools and inspection techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional inspections using metrology systems and software.
• Set up mechanical inspection tools and read engineering drawings.
• Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections on aerospace components.
• Create data analysis templates and inspection reports in Excel.
• Provide dimensional feedback to machinists and engineers.
• Generate and document NCRs with accurate data.
• Manage tooling inspections and calibration schedules.
• Maintain configuration control on inspection files and records.
• Work safely around flight-critical hardware.
