Job summary

Blue Origin LLC in Huntsville, AL seeks an inspector experienced in dimensional inspection of aerospace components to support manufacturing and inspection across spaceflight hardware. You will perform first article, in-process, final and receiving inspections, provide dimensional feedback, and help maintain calibration records.

The role requires blue light data analysis, blueprint reading with GD&T ASME Y14.5-2009, and proficiency with precision tools such as optical comparators and surface

Qualifications

• 1 - 5 years of experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
• Blue light experience/Data Analysis; Blueprint reading with GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in the use of precision hand tools, gages, optical comparator, and surface plate work.
• Experience inspecting tight tolerance, high value components.
• Ability to adapt to fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Microsoft Office proficiency.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Perform first article inspections, in-process checks, final inspections, and receiving inspections.
• Provide dimensional data feedback to machinists and engineers.
• Document, track, and close discrepancy reports.
• Maintain and calibrate inspection equipment and records.
• Support process improvement initiatives and uphold configuration control.
