Blue Origin, a leader in next-generation spaceflight, seeks a dedicated Inspector to join our Safety, Quality, & Mission Assurance team supporting development and flight hardware. You will conduct dimensional inspections, provide precise data to engineers, and drive quality improvements in a high-stakes aerospace environment.

You will work with advanced CMMs, laser trackers, and blue light systems to verify assemblies, ensuring conformance to design data and ASME Y14.5-2018 standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
• Superior blue print reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2018.
• Familiarity with AS9100 or ISO9000 Quality Management Systems and related quality programs.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Manage preparation for Computer Aided Manufacturing inspection by creating data analysis templates using Microsoft Excel.
• Inspection Software Quality Assurance.
• Program, setup and operate a variety of inspection equipment including Leica laser tracker; Romer arm; CMM; Blue Light; Keyence; Manual Layout.
• Using design data to inspect machined and received components.
• Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections.
• Provide feedback to machinists and engineers with dimensional data.
• Document Non Conformance reports as required.
• Provide inspection time estimates.
• Process improvement including inspection cycle time reductions.
• Maintain configuration control on files and job records.
• Safely work within an industrial environment.
