Job summary

Augmentis is assisting with a cost accounting role for a leading aero engine and industrial gas turbine components manufacturer. The position partners with operations to manage costing, inventory valuation, and monthly P&L preparation, supported by relocation assistance to Southern California.

The ideal candidate holds a BA in Accounting or Finance, 2+ years cost accounting in manufacturing, and strong Excel/Word/PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• BA in Accounting or Finance required.
• +2 years cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, budgeting, planning, and forecasting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Operations Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Procurement, Outside Processing, and Inventory Control to improve operational excellence.
• Manage cost accounting transactions to ensure compliance with US GAAP and Company Costing Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure inventory valuation accuracy through correct costing, analysis, and cycle count tracking.
• Perform analysis and support to Operations Management to achieve the cost reduction goals.
• Assist in the preparation of daily and monthly P&Ls.
• Review and update standard costs for each work cell based on the company's requirements.
• Prepare and communicate margin analysis and reports to Operations Management.
• Assist in preparing costing data for major business decisions.
• Lead the annual physical inventory counts and quarterly mini counts.
• Assist the Controller in developing financial forecasts, budgets, and operating plans.
• Assist in the evaluation and preparation of ERP upgrades.
• Participate and provide financial support in Theory of Constraints (ToC) and LEAN initiatives.
• Provide other duties as needed and assigned.
