Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a contracts manager to oversee the full lifecycle from capture and proposal through award, administration, and closeout.

The role interfaces with program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, and other functions to ensure compliance with DOA and regulatory requirements while driving effective contract performance. Experience with USG contracts (FAR/DFARS) is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in reviewing and drafting terms and conditions.
• Experience with USG Contracts (FAR/DFARS) in all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals, contract administration, and closeout.
• First-hand negotiation experience.
• Bachelor's degree or 8 years related experience in absence of Bachelors Degree.

Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate customer Requests for Proposal (RFP) for new business efforts and/or modifications to existing contract.
• Provide contractual recommendations, conduct risk assessments and create mitigation plans, and propose alternative approaches to contract execution through contract language revisions.
• Coordinate proposal generation and submission, collaborate with other functional areas to investigate and reconcile significant contract changes that frequently impact cost, schedule, technical specifications, etc.
• Collaborate with associated functional organizations and customers to ensure conformation with contractual obligations, remain cognizant of potential or existing problem areas, and implement required corrective actions.
• Develop and apply advanced contractual concepts, techniques, and standards to assigned duties.
• Develop and apply solutions to complex problems which require a high degree of ingenuity, contractual creativity, and innovation.
• Continuously evaluate and oversee contract performance.
• Create and maintain enduring relationships with internal and external customers to facilitate timely and transparent communications.
• Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.
• Create contract closeout schedules and coordinate with functional areas to drive closure of administrative tasks as required by company policies and federal regulations.
