Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick, ME is seeking a coatings technician for onsite manufacturing responsibilities. You will perform pre-coating surface prep, masking, and post-coating tasks, including deburring, grinding, and inspection of engine components.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of related experience or a completed degree/certificate from a post-secondary or vocational school in a related field.
• High School or GED diploma is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-coating operations under supervision from verbal, written, or computer-generated instructions.
• Carry out surface preparation and masking tasks as part of coating process.
• Perform post-coating tasks including removing parts from fixtures and troubleshooting equipment.
• Make minor repairs on coating equipment and handle deburring, grinding, drilling and polishing.
• Inspect parts to meet visual and dimensional requirements using micrometers and gauges.
• Support engineering with new or changed operations and suggest process improvements.
