Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an engineer to work on coating technologies, driving development programs from customer requirements through transition into products. You will collaborate with internal engineering disciplines, management, and manufacturing as part of an Integrated Product Team to ensure successful technology implementation.

You will lead initiatives to develop next-generation coatings and interface with DoD, DoE, NASA, and the AFRL to secure contracts, benchmarking and funding as

Qualifications

• BS degree in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, or related technical field.
• Advanced degree (MS/PhD) preferred.
• Travel around 10% is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal engineering disciplines, engineering management and manufacturing customers as part of an IPT.
• Lead elements or initiatives to establish next generation coatings.
• Interface with AFRL, DOD, DOE and NASA to seek, secure and execute contracts.
• Benchmark coating/alloy technology and processes and secure funding.
