Job summary

Pratt & Whitney is seeking an Onsite Inspection Technician in North Berwick, ME. You will plan and perform dimensional and visual inspections using precision measuring tools, review engine manuals, and ensure adherence to work instructions.

Responsibilities include handling nonconformances, maintaining measurement equipment, and supporting continuous improvement with a focus on accuracy and safety. This is a US-based role with shift flexibility including weekends.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• Inspection experience (Non- Aerospace acceptable).
• Familiar with precision measuring equipment.
• Communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer skills.
• Basic Shop Math.

Responsibilities

• Work applicable written inspection procedures, drawings, Engine Manuals and other pertinent instruction to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools and gages and other equipment, accepting material or referring for rework or quality review based on findings.
• Use measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.
• Perform mathematical computations to determine extent of nonconformance and complete appropriate paperwork.
• Follow procedures to perform inspection checks and verification of dimensions and ensure Work Instructions are followed.
• Recognize need and arrange for repair or replacement of measuring equipment as necessary.
• Support continuous improvement activities to meet business objectives.
• Must maintain Inspection stamp.
• Manage multiple competing priorities.
• Flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
• Review customer parts as received and determine start of repair path.
• Receiving Inspection.
• Work with Legacy, Military, and GTF parts.
