Job summary

Parker Aerospace is seeking a Buyer to manage purchases of materials, supplies, equipment and services for production operations. The role emphasizes timely PO creation, supplier delivery data accuracy, and formal inquiries to suppliers.

The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering, at least 2 years in a buying/expediting role, and strong communication skills. SAP experience is desirable, with MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering required.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Buyer/Expeditor or Material Planner.
• SAP experience desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase requisitions into purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Ensure accurate delivery information from suppliers.
• Solicit quotes from suppliers using formal inquiries.
• Evaluate quotations and award purchase orders.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the lowest unit cost.
• Implement contractual documentation into the purchase order.
• Establish contractual obligations for changes affecting the contract.
• Maintain compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Provide regular reporting to management.
