Job summary

Pratt & Whitney Springdale, AR is seeking a Machinist Technician for 2nd Shift to set up and operate conventional, CNC, and other machines to fabricate and repair parts. Overtime opportunities may be available after training, with a shift differential on 2nd shift.

The role requires reading blueprints and maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The PSD facility emphasizes state-of-the-art machining in a climate-controlled setting, with FAA regulations guiding operations.

Qualifications

• HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) with a minimum of 2 years of machining experience.
• Previous experience/training reading blueprints, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine machining and set-up requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and operate conventional, special purpose, and computerized numeric control (CNC) machines to fabricate and repair metallic and non-metallic parts.
• Read blueprints, drawings, manuals, specifications to determine machine and set-up requirements.
• Set-up and prepare includes: set up of fixtures, tools, attachments, and accessories.
• Operator level maintenance of machine and set up documents.
• Use measuring devices like micrometers, calipers, to ensure specifications are met.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
