Job summary

RTX’s Pratt & Whitney facility in Bridgeport, WV is hiring a Bench Repair Technician on 2nd shift. You will clean, deburr, blend, and polish turbine engine parts and set up drill presses or small lathes, working from drawings with a strong mechanical aptitude. The role is FAA regulated and safety sensitive.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED and at least 2 years in aftermarket aviation or related trades. Onsite role with potential cross-training and shift onboarding.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent and 2 years of experience in aftermarket aviation, machining, automotive, manufacturing, or related trades.

Responsibilities

• Perform repair and rework on gas turbine engine sub-assemblies and parts.
• Read from drawings, manuals, specs and detailed instructions.
• Check fits, alignments, clearances with fixed gauges.
• Operate riveting machines, small lathe, drill press and grinder.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and assist in tool modifications.
