Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a leader in aircraft engines and aerospace technology, seeks an experienced engineer focused on execution, implementation, and validation of centralized controls technology for hardware and software. You will help develop standard practices and align with automation goals across projects.

Responsibilities include PLC programming, Ignition scripting, SDN requirements, and data interfaces, with frequent collaboration with operations and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Industrial electrical engineering, Computer/Software engineering, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field, or 5+ years in automated manufacturing systems.
• US Citizenship required due to program requirements.
• Ability to obtain US Government Secret Clearance.
• Excellent judgment and professional maturity.
• Clear communication across levels within RTX and Pratt & Whitney.

Responsibilities

• Execute and validate centrally operated controls hardware and software for Pratt & Whitney projects.
• Develop standard practices and continuously improve control specifications.
• Design and implement OT network architecture and documentation.
• Develop and maintain control software (PLC programming, Ignition scripting, SDN requirements).
• Coordinate with site operations on system flow and business needs.
• Travel up to 50%.
