Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, a part of RTX, is seeking an onsite Industrial controls engineer to execute and validate centralized operational technology for controls hardware and software at the Holt, MI plant. The role includes developing standard practices, improving control specifications, and aligning with project automation goals.

The position requires a bachelor's (or higher) in a related field or 5+ years in automated manufacturing, US citizenship, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial electrical engineering, Computer/Software engineering, Manufacturing or related field or 5+ years of automated systems experience in manufacturing environments.
• Advanced degree with 3+ years related experience preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship required for program access and ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret Clearance.
• Excellent judgment, communication, and professional maturity.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate standard controls hardware and networks per application, including supplier selection and validation.
• Develop and implement standard engineering procedures and documentation.
• Configure OT network architecture and data collection interfaces; standardize SDN and firewall requirements.
• Perform onsite evaluation of current infrastructure and support PLC programming, Ignition scripting, and HMI development.
• Travel up to 50% to support site operations and program needs.
