Job summary

RTX Corporation in North Berwick, Maine is seeking a 2nd shift Operator to learn and perform routine assembly operations on large engine sections. You will train for 4–8 weeks and work from operation sheets, part travelers, BOROPS, and oral instructions, gaining proficiency to certify operators and maintain equipment.

Role offers on-site work, a path to certification, and collaboration with engineers, QA, and production teams to address assembly challenges.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive or related trade preferred.
• Ability to perform decimal/fraction computations and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Learn routine assembly operations on large sections of engine designs.
• Work from operation sheets and travelers to complete tasks.
• Verify conformance of finished work using precision measuring instruments.
• Obtain operator Certification to accept/reject parts.
• Maintain machines via total preventive maintenance (TPM).
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, programmers and production staff to resolve issues.
