Job summary

RTX is seeking an entry-level Coating Technician in North Berwick, ME to support pre and post-coating operations on aerospace engine components. You will work from written and verbal instructions, perform deburring and polishing tasks, and use precision tools to verify part quality.

The role requires the ability to adapt to varying shift schedules, including overtime, and to collaborate with engineers on process improvements.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of related experience or a completed degree/certificate
• High School or GED required

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-coating operations from instructions.
• Perform post coating tasks including removing parts from fixtures and troubleshooting equipment.
• Perform minor repairs on coating equipment.
• Use hand and power tools for finishing operations on aerospace components.
• Conduct dimensional checks using micrometers, verniers, height gauges and fixed gauges.
• Ensure parts meet visual and dimensional quality requirements.
• Support engineers in developing new or changed operations.
• Be flexible with shifts and overtime as needed.
