Job summary

RTX is seeking a quality inspector for its Repair Operations team on the 2nd shift (3:30pm-1:30am, Mon-Thu) at the North Berwick, ME site. You will inspect parts using approved data, perform dimensional checks, record results, and determine repair paths.

This role emphasizes attention to detail, adherence to procedures, and flexibility for overtime and training to support production goals.

Qualifications

• Inspection experience (Non-Aerospace acceptable).
• Familiar with precision measuring equipment.
• Communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Computer skills.
• Basic shop math.

Responsibilities

• Apply written inspection procedures, drawings, Engine Manuals and other data to plan and perform dimensional and visual inspection on parts, tools and gauges.
• Use fixed and variable measuring instruments to check dimensions and record results.
• Perform necessary mathematical computations to determine nonconformance and complete paperwork.
• Follow procedures to perform inspection checks and verify dimensions per Work Instructions.
• Maintain inspection stamp and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Review customer parts on receipt and determine repair path start; receive inspection.
