Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Aerospace Systems Engineer I in Tempe, AZ, to help develop flight-critical actuation systems. You will work with mechanical, electrical, controls, software, and test engineers to deliver integrated aerospace systems from concept through qualification and production support.

You’ll report to the Sr Engineering Program Manager and operate on a hybrid schedule from Tempe. A bachelor’s degree and 0–2 years’ experience are required, with familiarity in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 0–2 years engineering experience, including internships, co-ops, research, or academic project experience.
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes, product development, or aerospace systems.
• Experience with modeling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and integration of aerospace electro-mechanical actuation systems.
• Assist with system requirements, documentation, and verification activities.
• Develop models and simulations using MATLAB/Simulink and related tools.
• Perform engineering analyses to evaluate system performance and functionality.
• Support the integration of motors, sensors, controllers, and embedded systems.
• Participate in laboratory, HIL, environmental, and qualification testing.
• Analyze test results, troubleshoot issues, and document findings.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout product development and testing.
