Job summary

Protingent Staffing in Los Angeles, CA seeks a 5-Axis CNC Programmer (CAM / HyperMill) for a contract assignment. You will program and optimize 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC machines using HyperMill to manufacture precision satellite components from high-performance materials, emphasizing aerospace tolerances and surface finishes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of multi-axis CNC programming experience, preferably in aerospace or satellite hardware.
• HyperMill proficiency is required; experience with other CAM tools is a plus.
• Ability to interpret ASME Y14.5 GD&T and complex drawings; knowledge of tooling and setups.

Responsibilities

• Program and optimize 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNCs using HyperMill for aerospace-grade components.
• Interpret 3D CAD models, drawings, and GD&T to create machining strategies.
• Select tools, fixtures, and parameters for thin-walled aerospace structures; verify via CAM simulations.
