Job summary

Space Kinetic in El Segundo, CA is seeking a CNC Programmer & Machinist to manufacture and assemble precision components for rapid prototyping of our aerospace core technology. This contract, hands-on role requires setup of high-precision 3-, 5-, and 7-axis machining on Okuma and other Machining centers.

You will generate CAM programs in Mastercam, train junior machinists, and work closely with engineering to iterate designs toward flight testing while meeting aerospace tolerances.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional machining experience.
• Proficiency with Mastercam or similar CAM platform.
• Experience with 3-, 5-, or 7-axis machining operations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture and assemble precision components for prototypes and flight-testing.
• Generate CAM packages for complex parts.
• Program 3-, 5-, or 7-axis machining operations.
• Set up and operate CNC mills and lathes to aerospace tolerances.
• Collaborate with engineering team on rapid design iterations and prototyping.
• Train and mentor other machinists and support milestones.
