Job summary

LHH is seeking a CNC Programmer for a Direct Hire, permanent placement in Indianapolis, IN. The role involves programming multi-axis CNC machines (up to 5-axis) for aerospace components, interpreting drawings, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications

Associate degree in CAD/Engineering or related field preferred.
3+ years CNC programming experience required.
Mastercam proficiency is non-negotiable.
Experience with multi-axis mills and lathes in aerospace manufacturing.
Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Program multi-axis CNC machines (up to 5-axis) to produce aerospace components.
Read blueprints and drawings to set up machines and develop machining strategies.
Design tooling, jigs, and fixtures to support setups.
Model cutting paths and optimize machine settings for quality and efficiency.
Conduct quality checks to ensure parts meet specs and tolerances.
Train operators on CNC operation and program interpretation.
Manage project timelines and align programming with production schedules.
Evaluate production costs and support cost-saving initiatives.
