Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems in Palmdale, CA, is seeking a Subsystems Engineer Aeronautical (Engineer Level 2) or Principal Engineer Aeronautical to join the Liaison Engineering team within Vehicle Engineering IPT.

You will design electrical wire harness and coax cable installations, create 3D models, support assembly line installations, and work on high-visibility aerospace programs; US Secret Clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM and 2+ years of relevant experience; Master’s with no experience acceptable for Engineer Aeronautical.
• Senior/Principal roles require 5+ years (Bachelor) or 3 years (Master) or PhD with no experience.
• Experience in military aircraft wire harness and coax cable installations using 3D solid modeling.
• Current in-scope US Government Secret Clearance; SAP eligibility before start.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical wire harness and coax cable installations, including routing and integration into an air vehicle.
• Create and modify 3D designs for wire harness routings and supports.
• Execute engineering design projects on schedule.
• Support assembly line installations.
• Understand 3D modeling, file management, GD&T, and MRB.
