Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Engineer Subsystems Aeronautical Design to join a diverse, qualified team. This position can be located in Palmdale, CA, Oklahoma City, OK, Whiteman AFB, and San Diego, CA.

The Staff Electrical Engineer – Vehicle Subsystems & Integration will lead and/or contribute on multiple aspects of aircraft subsystem development, guiding projects from concept to sustainment and ensuring technical excellence throughout the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in STEM with 12+ years aerospace design experience OR MS with 10+ years OR PhD with 8+ years
• Proven experience leading a system's development from concept to sustainment
• Strong analytical skills with track record of complex problem solving
• Excellent written and oral communication; ability to brief senior executives
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret clearance and a SAP clearance

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: create hydraulic/electrical schematics; select conductors and components.
• System Engineering: lead trade studies, layout, architecture, testing, verification, troubleshooting.
• Testing & Verification: develop and execute system-level test plans; evaluate requirements for airworthiness.
• Leadership & Communication: act as SME for teams; present to senior leadership.
