Job summary

Truist is seeking a Financial Services Assistant to provide comprehensive servicing and support to Financial Advisors. You will handle administrative duties, assist with investment research, prepare financial plans, and process client trades and transactions.

You will receive and place orders, respond to market queries, and manage schedules. The role requires FINRA licenses and strong communication skills to serve clients effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience in the securities industry and/or a sales assistant role.
• Knowledge of securities markets and brokerage accounts.
• Knowledge of annuity products.
• FINRA SIE, Series 7 and Series 66 licenses.
• Exceptional telephone skills and client interaction abilities.
• Strong time management skills.
• Effective communication with clients, managers, and teammates.
• Ability to evaluate, assimilate and use detailed technical information.
• Ability to work self-directed.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist Financial Advisors in servicing clients, preparing financial plans, conducting research, and executing trades.
• Receive and place orders and respond to market queries and order features.
• Process corporate actions requiring a license.
• Schedule and confirm client appointments; maintain records and expense reports.
• Manage the advisor’s calendar to maximize productivity.
• Identify sales opportunities and leverage product knowledge.
• Provide operational guidance on systems and document fulfillment.
• Ensure new business paperwork is complete and properly submitted.
• Authenticate and verify high-risk transactions to mitigate risk.
• Maintain a professional environment and positive client impressions.
• Submit operational requests and manage client/account updates as directed.
• Coordinate with the Financial Advisor to review reports like insufficient funds or RMDs.
