Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a strategic sourcing professional to lead end-to-end sourcing for indirect categories, interacting with business partners to understand needs and drive cost optimization. You will execute competitive bids, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management for assigned commodities or services.

You will leverage spend analytics and market intelligence to identify opportunities, manage RFPs, and ensure contractual terms align with company goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
• 3+ years in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management and negotiation.
• Strong English communication and presentation skills.
• Demonstrates strong financial acumen and data analysis ability.
• Proficiency with MS Office; SAP/SAP Ariba a plus.

Responsibilities

• Category Sourcing Lead for assigned indirect categories (e.g., EHS, Energy, Facilities).
• Serve as primary sourcing business partner for stakeholders in indirect categories.
• Collaborate with indirect suppliers to source goods and services.
• Initiate, negotiate and finalize new indirect supplier contracts and maintain existing contracts.
• Manage RFP events within assigned indirect categories.
• Drive purchasing discipline and contract compliance with stakeholders.
• Review and approve BuyNow requests and new supplier setups.
• Coordinate with legal and compliance to ensure favorable terms.
