Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Adventure Readiness Specialist to join our Service team during peak seasons. You’ll help with vehicle inventory, delivery readiness, and seamless owner experiences, while gaining hands-on experience toward a future Service Technician role.

Participate in TRAIL, receive mentorship, and complete Rivian Learning Network modules to advance your career. Expect a flexible 40-hour week and opportunities across service operations in Southern California.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or other recognized high school equivalency credential preferred.
• Previous technical experience (e.g. automotive repair, mechanical maintenance, or electrical work) or experience in an adjacent technical industry is highly preferred.
• A strong desire to learn, adaptability, and a hands-on mindset are essential.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license (no suspensions/revocation in 3–5 years).
• Ability to work a flexible 40-hour week, including weekends/holidays; physical tasks up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and interpret regulations, safety rules, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle & Site Operations: receive, inspect, and process incoming vehicle inventory; maintain quality and readiness; manage logistics; keep the site organized per 5S.
• Service Production Support: assist technicians with basic repairs, learn PDI tasks, use basic hand/power tools under supervision; maintain tool readiness.
• Training & Career Development: participate in TRAIL program, receive mentorship and RLN modules, explore pathway to a Service Technician role, support cross-functional needs.
