Job summary

Rivian seeks an Adventure Readiness Specialist to join the Service team in the Bay Area. You will be on the front lines during peak periods, helping with inventory, prep, and readiness of Rivian vehicles for delivery and service.

This role offers hands-on learning through TRAIL and RLN modules, with mentorship toward a future as a Service Technician and opportunities to support multiple site operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Prior technical experience or adjacent technical industry experience preferred.
• Strong desire to learn, adaptable, hands-on work.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be 21+ with a valid driver's license and no suspensions in 3–5 years.
• Ability to work a flexible 40-hour week, including weekends/holidays.
• Physical tasks may include lifting up to 50 lbs and frequent tool use.
• Ability to read regulations, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming vehicle inventory.
• Maintain vehicle quality and delivery readiness through washing, detailing, and charging.
• Manage vehicle logistics, including lot organization, shuttling vehicles, and key management.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized service center environment (5S).
• Assist technicians with basic vehicle repairs, focusing on PDI tasks and Express Lane work.
• Learn to safely use basic hand tools and power tools under supervision.
• Support the workshop by maintaining tool and equipment readiness.
• Participate in the TRAIL program and RLN modules for growth.
• Pursue a pathway into a Service Technician role.
• Provide cross-functional support to other areas as needed.
