Job summary

Rivian is seeking an Adventure Readiness Specialist to join our Service team during peak seasons. You will help ensure vehicles are ready for adventure, from inventory intake to prepping for delivery and service, while gaining hands-on experience towards a Service Technician role.

This entry-point role focuses on learning, cross-functional support, and contributing to a high-volume, customer-centric service environment. Eligible for a path toward growth within Rivian’s service network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Previous technical experience in automotive repair, mechanical maintenance, or related field is highly preferred.
• A strong desire to learn, adaptability, and hands-on mindset.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be at least 21 with a valid driver's license (no suspensions in 3–5 years).
• Able to work a flexible 40-hour week, including weekends/holidays; physical tasks up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to read and interpret regulations, safety rules, and schematics.
• Comfort interacting with customers, partners, and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Vehicle & Site Operations: Receive, inspect, and process incoming vehicle inventory; wash, detail, and charge vehicles; manage lot organization and key control; maintain a clean, safe service center per 5S principles.
• Service Production Support: Assist technicians with basic repairs, focusing on PDI tasks and Express Lane work; safely use basic hand and power tools under supervision; maintain tool and equipment readiness.
• Training & Career Development: Participate in the TRAIL program; receive mentorship and on-the-job training for the Service Technician role; complete RLN modules; explore a pathway into a long-term Service Technician career; support cross-functional site needs.
