Job summary

The Undergraduate Medical Education (UME) Coordinator at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill provides advanced administrative and operational support for undergraduate medical education programs within the Department of Medicine. You will coordinate scheduling, course logistics, examinations, meetings, and student support services across inpatient and statewide campus activities.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency with 1 year of related office experience, or equivalent combination.
Experience using education platforms (Canvas, One45, Panopto) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate scheduling, course logistics, educational activities, examinations, and meetings; manage student support services.
Maintain educational records and databases; track evaluations, attendance, grades, and required documentation.
Prepare reports and data summaries; support accreditation and reporting activities; assist with special projects.
Provide advanced administrative support to course directors and educational leadership; manage communications.
