Job summary

Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Sonographer to perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging across outpatient and inpatient settings, including abdomen, vascular, OB/GYN, and small parts. You will contribute to complex procedures and communicate findings to physicians, while maintaining standards of safety and patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program and /or ARDMS registered or registry eligible.
• One year of experience as a Sonographer preferred.
• Associate degree or above preferred.
• ARDMS registered or registry eligible in abdomen, OB/GYN and RVT; must be within 18 months of Mayo employment.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously performs high quality, advanced diagnostic ultrasound imaging for outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Assists in complex invasive procedures and intraoperative cases with a team approach.
• Interprets sonograms, communicates preliminary clinical diagnoses to the physician.
• Identifies imaging orders for accuracy and tailors exams to patient needs.
• Maintains sterile technique, procedural setup, sample handling, and documentation.
• Participates in research and innovation studies and adopts new technology.

Education

Associates degree or higher

ARDMS registered or registry eligible (Abdomen, OB/GYN, RVT)

One year of experience as a Sonographer preferred

BLS within 90 days
