Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida seeks a Sonographer to perform advanced diagnostic ultrasound imaging for outpatient and inpatient settings, including abdomen, vascular, OB/GYN, and small parts. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality exams and patient safety.

Responsibilities include assisting in complex procedures, synthesizing clinical data for preliminary diagnoses, and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program and ARDMS registered or eligible.
• One year of experience as a Sonographer preferred.
• Associate degree or above preferred.
• ARDMS registered or eligible in abdomen, OB/GYN, and RVT.
• BLS certification within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging for outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Assists in complex invasive procedures with a team.
• Synthesizes clinical data and communicates preliminary diagnosis to physician.
• Maintains QA and equipment; reports failures.
• Mentors students and staff; supports residents and fellows.
• Supports workflow efficiency and department accreditation.
