Job summary

Baxter International Inc. is seeking a Field Sales Performance Manager for our Advanced Surgery division to lead, coach, and elevate clinical and commercial capabilities on location with healthcare professionals.

You will partner with senior leaders to deliver education, onboarding, and ongoing development, shaping the next generation of Baxter’s surgical sales force across regions and driving sustained performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR 8+ years of operating room sales experience.
• Experience with hospital-based selling in the OR, as well as coaching, training, or mentoring peers.
• At least 50% travel is required and may involve visits to remote or urban areas, spanning several states.
• Proven experience coaching, mentoring, or training small teams and developing others toward measurable performance gains.
• Knowledge of adult-learning methodologies and experience managing or creating medical education programs and content.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and customer-service excellence.
• Strong problem-solving and influence-management skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
• Must live near a major metropolitan airport and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead quota attainment for area and drive adoption of selling skills, clinical knowledge, and best practices.
• Coach and mentor peers and sales reps through direct supervision, 1:1 calls, field rides, and quarterly reviews.
• Mentor new hires on the journey, supervise remotely and in-person, teaching Commercial Selling Skills, Customer Knowledge, and Product Knowledge.
• Create new educational content and experiences that accelerate skill development for both tenured and new reps.
• Partner with leadership to identify, plan, and deliver training for all sales roles.
• Deliver training and run in-person and virtual meetings with various internal customer groups.
• Shape the future sales workforce by leading Advanced Surgery training across the lifecycle.
• Lead regional/national sales meetings and support new-product training.
