Job summary

Intermountain Health's Respiratory Therapy team in Wheat Ridge, CO is seeking an RRT Advanced for night shifts (36 hours/week) to deliver advanced cardiopulmonary care and support clinical program initiatives. The role serves as a resource to CRT staff, mentors colleagues, and helps implement department protocols while ensuring high-quality patient outcomes.

Eligible candidates may receive a sign-on bonus up to $15,000 and a $5,000 bonus with less than 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a NBRC approved Respiratory Therapist program. Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified.
• Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (RRT)
• Maintain an advanced credential as approved by leadership and HR (e.g. ACCS, NPS, AE-C, SDS, CPFT, RPFT) for respiratory therapists in the Clinical Pathway.
• Current license for Respiratory Therapy in the state of practice is required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
• Specific certifications as required (i.e. PALS, ACLS, NRP).
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution (degree will be verified).

Responsibilities

• Performs respiratory care procedures in response to patient needs and physician orders.
• Assesses cardiopulmonary status through exam, history review, and response to therapies, and communicates care plan.
• Independently performs the majority of procedures and participates in clinical programs and outcomes monitoring.
• Mentors and represents Respiratory Care Services and supports department protocols and procedures.
• Maintains records to satisfy department, hospital, and legal requirements.
• May float to other departments or be on-call as needed.
