Job summary

American Family Care is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join a franchised urgent care location in Chino. The APP will work under approved scope and collaborate with other providers to ensure efficient patient flow and high satisfaction. Duties and benefits may vary between franchises.

Requirements include PA/NP licensure, DEA, board certification, and at least 1 year in urgent care. AFC emphasizes training, development, and a team-based approach in a walk-in primary/urgent care

Qualifications

• 1 year Urgent Care experience required.
• ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified.
• Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate.
• Able to multi-task and work independently.
• Professional appearance and attitude.
• Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family.

Responsibilities

• Take detailed health histories, review records, develop medical assessments, and order labs/imaging as needed.
• Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals.
• Institute emergency measures for cardiac arrest, shock, seizures, poisoning, and allergic reactions.
• Interpret patient data to guide management and treatment.
• Educate patients and families on care and health promotion.
• Other duties as assigned.
