Job summary

American Family Care Wendell seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to care for patients within the scope of training. The APP will collaborate with staff to ensure efficient flow and high patient satisfaction at a franchised AFC location. Duties and benefits may vary by franchise.

Candidates should be board certified and licensed as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, with the ability to multi-task and work independently; emergency stabilization skills are valued.

Qualifications

• Board certification with ER/UC experience preferred.
• Active and current PA/NP licensure in state of practice.
• Includes DEA number and controlled substances certification as required.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication with staff, patients, and families.

Responsibilities

• Take thorough medical histories, review records and order appropriate tests.
• Diagnose, initiate therapy or referrals to facilities and resources.
• Provide emergency measures and stabilization when needed.
• Interpret data to guide patient management and treatment decisions.
• Educate patients and families on health care and promotion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
