Job summary

TCH Medical Center is seeking a Coordinator of Respiratory Care to lead pediatric and neonatal respiratory services in a fast-paced setting. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to advance patient and family outcomes through expert care, education, and evidence-based practice.

The role involves clinical leadership, staff education, and participation in research initiatives to improve treatment effectiveness and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Technical diploma Respiratory certification/registry program is required.
• Preferred Associate’s Degree or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Care; degree may substitute for experience.
• RCP license by the Texas Medical Board and RRT certificate by the National Board for Respiratory Care are required/preferred.
• Basic Life Support is preferred.
• Requires 4 years of respiratory care experience.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an advanced clinical practitioner and collaborates with the health care team to plan, implement, and evaluate treatment approaches.
• Maintains clinical skills by providing direct patient care and related activities.
• Serves as an educational resource for the patient, family, and other health care professionals.
• Conducts research and development activities for Respiratory Care.
• Facilitates changes in clinical practice to positively affect patient outcomes and acts as an administrator.
