Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Respiratory Professional Development Associate to coordinate education and competency development for pediatric respiratory therapists.

You will partner with the leadership team and educators to assess learning needs and provide targeted opportunities across the unit. The role includes serving as a bedside therapist and mentor, using evidence-based practice to guide training and contributing to performance improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in respiratory care and active IL licensure as RRT.
• PALS, NRP and ACLS required upon hire; neonatal/pediatric specialist within one year.

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with leadership and educators to develop pediatric knowledge and competency of staff.
• Assess clinical competence and provide learning opportunities (in-services, simulations, equipment training).
• Mentor respiratory therapists and preceptors; review patient information to develop critical thinking.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to trend performance and implement improvements.
